The Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs (JABOS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, and their families across the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Guided by our motto, “Caring Hearts. Helping Hands. Changing Lives.”, we work to meet the physical, medical, emotional, and educational needs of young people, helping create brighter futures for years to come.
This past year, JABOS served more than 10,000 children and families in Biloxi, D’Iberville, Ocean Springs, St. Martin, Vancleave, and surrounding communities. Our approximately 100 active and provisional members volunteered over 5,000 hours of hands-on service through 10 service projects, all focused on supporting children and families where the need is greatest.
Gala for the Kids
Our annual Gala for the Kids is our one and only fundraiser each year. Funds raised through this event provide the financial support needed to carry out all of our service projects for the coming year. The success of the Gala directly impacts how many children we can serve and how great an impact we can make in our community.
Every dollar raised stays local and helps us continue our mission of caring for children and strengthening families throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

CHILDREN’S ART CONTEST
Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs is excited to announce our annual Children’s Art Contest!
Contest Design Theme:
Once Upon a Gala: Celebrating Each Child’s Story
Open to students from K-12th grades in Biloxi, D’Iberville, Ocean Springs, St. Martin, Vancleave, and Woolmarket.
Cash prizes for every age group, including one overall winner!
Divisions:
K-2nd
3rd-5th
6th-8th
9th-12th
Prizes:
1st place: $25
2nd place: $15
3rd place: $10
Overall Winner: $100
Awards ceremony: May 2026

2-Dimensional Design
Max size: 8.5 x 11″ paper or cardstock
Media: Tempera, watercolor, acrylics, ink, crayons, marker, colored pencils

Deadline: Must be postmarked by March 28, 2026
Entry Form & Photo Release MUST be paper clipped to the back – this is required for entry.
Important Info:
Winning artwork will be used in advertising & promotional materials, shared on social media, reproduced, and displayed at the awards ceremony. They will also be delayed at our annual GALA for the Kids on June 20, 2026 at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino. Submissions won’t be returned.
